TOYOTA LANKA HOSTED A SPECIAL TRAINING PROGRAM FOR EME OFFICERS IN SRI LANKA ARMY

Toyota Lanka (Pvt) Limited, the sole authorized distributor for Toyota vehicles in Sri Lanka, has facilitated a special training program of two days for 25 EME officers at their training premises in Wattala from February 15 to 16, 2023. Toyota is one of the largest automobile manufacturer in the world and Sri Lanka Army has been one of the leading customer over the decades.

To be in line with the conceptual guidance of the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General H L V M Liyanage RWP RSP ndu, Director General, Electrical & Mechanical Engineering, Major General Ranjan Jayasekera, has taken the initiative for this training program. This workshop is mainly focused on general maintenance and hi-tech repairs of vehicles available in Sri Lanka. During the program, those EME Officers had the opportunity to enhance and uplift their knowledge on advanced technology of vehicles, including fault finding, troubleshooting, and the application of the latest technology related to the durability of the vehicles.

The workshop was well organized by Mr. Sachio Yotsukura Chairman of Toyota Lanka (Pvt) Ltd, Mr. Mano Athukorala CEO of Toyota Lanka, and Mr. Udaya Francis Consultant of Toyota Lanka, enabling the enthusiastic attendance of 25 EME Officers dwelt on a variety of aspects.
