Sri Lanka Air Force Modifies Helicopters to Spray Disinfectant by Air If Required
On the instructions of the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Sumangala Dias, the Research and Development Wing at Sri Lanka Air Force Base Katunayake and the Aeronautical Engineering Support Wing at Ratmalana has made apparatuses which can be mounted to a Bell 212, Bell 412 or MI-17 Helicopter.
This equipment will enable the spraying of disinfectant liquids in large quantities from air to highly contaminated areas if required. The Commander visited Katunayake and inspected the apparatus and its capabilities.
