As the Director General Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Sri Lanka Navy, I lead a team of over 200 engineers and 2500 technicians to upgrade and modernize the ship systems of the naval fleet. With more than 33 years of experience in the maritime and defence sectors, I have a proven track record of delivering cutting-edge solutions to complex challenges, adhering to the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and innovation. I hold a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical and Electronic Engineering degree from Shri Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India through Naval College of Engineering of Indian Navy, a Masters Degree in Defence Management from Kotalawela Defence University, and I am a Fellow f Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka, Chartered Electrical Engineer from The Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka and India. I have qualified in Naval Command and Staff Course and National Defence Course which are operational and strategic level training programs of the military. My core competencies include naval systems procurement and contract management, project management and implementation, cyber security, electronic warfare, and maritime surveillance. I have successfully led and executed large-scale projects to enhance naval capabilities, managed and guided research and development initiatives to replace legacy steering and propulsion systems of naval ships and craft, and acquired specialized skills in cyber security, electronic warfare, and maritime surveillance. I am passionate about modernization of naval platforms and advancing the Navy's mission and vision with unwavering dedication and professionalism.
