I graduated with Bachelors Degree in Aeronautical Engineering and was commissioned as Flying Officer in the Technical Engineering Branch in 1999. I served as an Engineering Officer in No 1 flying Training Wing SLAF Base Anuradhapura, Motor Transport Officer SLAF Base Chinabay. Deputy Officer Commanding Maintenance No 14 Advance Flying Squadron SLAF Base Katunayaka, Officer Commanding Technical Services SLAF Academy Chinabay, Officer Commanding Maintenance No 12 Fighter Squadron SLAF Base Katunayaka, Staff Officer II at Directorate of Aeronautical Engineering, Examination Manager Helitours Technical Training Centre SLAF Ekala and Directing Staff at Defence Services Command and Staff College Sapugaskanda, Commanding Officer Junior Command and Staff College SLAF Academy Chinabay, Base Quality Assurance Officer and Chief Flight Safety Officer (Engineering), Commanding Officer Mechanical Transport Repair and Overhaul Wing and Director Motor transport. I completed the Junior Commander’s Course No 23 at the Junior Command and Staff College at SLAF China Bay, earning the Golden Pen for the Best Commandant’s Research paper, Best all round Sportsman and second in the order of Merit of course No 23. I thus earned the opportunity to proceed to the Command and Staff Training Institute Bangladesh Air Force to complete the 75 Junior Commanders Course. I have completed Defence Services Command and Staff College Course (DSCSC) No 7 in 2013 and obtained passed staff college and Master of Science in Defence and Strategic Studies. Further I have completed Master of Science (Defence Studies) in Management, Master of Science in Defence and Strategic Studies from General sir John Kotelawala Defence University, Postgraduate Diploma in Defence Management from University of Kelaniya and Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management from University of Colombo. I followed K8 aircraft maintenance course in China, Advance Aeronautical Engineer’s course at Air Force Technical College India, Quality Assurance course and Material Failure Analysis course in Pakistan Air Force.
