About Me
On completion of my Advanced Level Examination in Mathematical Stream in the year 1997 at Dharmaraja College Kandy, I was selected to follow my first degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Kothelawala Defence University, Ratmalana in August 1999. I was graduated from the university in September 2003. I started my professional career serving for Sri Lanka Air Force as an Electronics Engineering Officer in the branch of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering. I was appointed as the 2nd In Command in the Radio Workshop at the Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering Wing (E&TE Wing) Ratmalana which is responsible for the Depot Level Maintenance of Ground, Ground to Air. Encrypted and Ground-Based Navigational/Communication Equipment. Then I was appointed as the Officer In Charge of Avionics at No. 1 Flying Training Wing, Sri Lanka Air Force Base Anuradhapura, vesting the responsibility of Field Level Maintenance of all Avionics Equipment fixed in PT-06 , Cessna 150 and Shiamachetti SF 260 Warrier aircraft. My next destination was E&TE Wing Katunayake, which is responsible for Depot Level Maintenance of all Avionics Equipment used in the inventory of Sri Lanka Air Force. Then I was handpicked to serve as the Officer Commanding Avionics at No. 4 VVIP/VIP Helicopter Squadron, Sri Lanka Air Force Base, Katunayake, to supervise the effective and efficient maintenance of all Avionics equipment installed in Bell 412 EP, Bell 412, Bell 212, and Bell 206 aircraft. Then I was appointed as the Officer Commanding Electronics at Sri Lanka Air Force Academy, China Bay, and my responsibilities covered the installation and maintenance of all Electronics, Telecommunication, and IT-related systems and equipment at the Air Force Academy. My next tenure as the Officer Commanding Electronics at Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering Wing Ratmalana, which is responsible for the Depot Level Maintenance of Ground, Ground to Air, Encrypted, Ground-Based Navigational/Communication Equipment, and Telecommunication Network in Sri Lanka Air Force. My next appointments were at Sri Lanka Air Force Headquarters as the Staff Officer of Research and Development Electronics and Staff Officer Electronics III at the Directorate of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering and my area of responsibility covers the Demanding, Evaluation, and Purchasing of Office Related Equipment, Mobile Communication Equipment, Billing, and Consumables required to Sri Lanka Air Force.
