I consider myself, first foremost and last, a Military Professional, and take great pride in being part of the brotherhood of arms. I am an engineer, who believes firmly that a good engineer solves problems, not through the mastery of esoteric concepts and theories, but through simplification and practical solutions. I believe the true engineer is the person who can take a complex problem and break it down into simpler problems for which the solutions are obvious to everyone! I am an educator, passionate about training and development, and enjoy sharing what little knowledge I have had the privilege of gathering, with others. I am a technologist, believing strongly in the value of technology in improving all three of the above. Finally, I am a student, believing in the importance, nay the imperative, of continual pursuit of knowledge and improvement.
