I joined the SLAF in the year 2000 as an Officer Cadet of the 38th Intake. I was commissioned as a Pilot Officer of the Technical Signals Branch in the year 2002. I have performed as an Avionics Engineer since 2003. I was initially qualified in maintenance of K-8 aircraft. Then I was qualified on the maintenance of the Blue Horizon UAV. I was the Officer Commanding Electronics at SLAF Station and at SLAF Station Colombo. I had the unique opportunity of being selected to perform duties at the Directorate of Media as a Staff Officer. With the expansion of the Directorate of Media, I was also appointed as the Senior Staff Officer Media. I served for a year at the Air Force Academy, China Bay as the Officer Commanding Electronics. I also held the appointed of Senior Electronic Engineering Officer at the No 02 Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering Wing at SLAF Base Ratmalana. I also served as the Staff Officers Electronics III at Air Force Headquarters Colombo before being attached to the Performing Arts Division at SLAF Base Katunayake. At present I am performing duties in the capacity of Staff Officer Quality Assurance (Electronic Engineering) at the Quality Assurance Inspectorate, Air Force Headquarters, Sri Jayewardenepura.
