About Me
Native from Battaramulla. Studied at President's College Sri Jayewardenepura Kotte (earlier at Torrington ,Colombo 7). Joined as a Officer Cadet to the 9th Intake of General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University (then KDA) on 17 November 1991. Graduated from KDU in year 1995 with a Second Class Lower. Obtained Chartered Engineer status in July 2010 from Institution of Engineers Sri Lanka. Authorized Surveyor of Pressure Vessels appointed by Department of Labour Sri Lanka. Married and blessed with two sons.

Career Experience
- Served on board Naval Ships (SLNS Abeetha, SLNS Shakthi, SLNS Hansaya, SLNS Nandimithra and SLNS Suranimila) and Establishments as a qualified Marine Engineer Officer for over 26 years after graduation in 1995. Held appointments as Deputy Director Automobile Engineering, Director Engineering Services and Director Naval Design at Naval Headquarters. Also held appointments as the Commodore Superintendendent Dockyard in Western, Northern and Southern Commands. Obtained Chartered Engineer Status from IESL (in Marine Engineering Discipline) in July 2010. (IESL Membership No. M- 5546). In addition served as an instructor at Naval and Maritime Academy for three years and Directing Staff at Defence Services Command and Staff College Sri Lanka.

- Paper submitted to IAEA Vienna, Austria on "Security of Radioactive Material and Human Resource Development: Sri Lanka Navy's Effort" was selected and presented among 102 countries at IAEA, Vienna, Austria from 3-7 Dec 2018.
