I finished my bachelor degree in Computing and Information systems from London Metropolitan University in 2003. I joined the Sri Lanka Air Force as a commissioned officer for the Rank of Flying officer in 2004. Due to my interest in software engineering, I have been involved to develop software applications in a variety of fields such as HRMS, logistics, engineering, defence, simulation, sensors integration and AI and technologies. Hence, I have been involved to design and develop over 80 application software for SLAF and different organizations. All applications open me to new opportunities to start new research in different technologies. Further, I have been involving in several research and development works (Anomaly Detection in surveillance videos, Trajectory based object detection in surveillance videos, Command and Control System for Air Operation Command Centre at Defence Service Headquarters Akuregoda, Virtual Reality Parachute and weapon Simulator, Smart Waste Management, IoT based Smart Conference). Presently, I work as Commanding Officer No 01 Information Technology Wing at SLAF Base Ratmalana.
