I was born on 31st May 1977 at Kurunegala located in the North-Western Province of Sri Lanka. I had my education at Maliyadeva Boys Collage, Kurunegala. During my school days, I was an active participant in academic as well as extra-curricular activities in the school. I joined the Sri Lanka Air Force as an Officer Cadet of the 35th Intake on 26th January 1998.Completed my basic training course and basic technical training.After I commissioned in year 1999, I then proceeded to No 2 Heavy transport wing Sri Lanka Air Force Base Rathmalana as a technical engineering officer. I have undergone in year 2004 C-130 Aircraft Engine Familiarization Course in Pakistan, in year 2005 Ordinary Level C 130 Aircraft course in Pakistan, in year 2006 Electro ‘O’ Level Course C-130 Aircraft in Pakistan and in year 2008 Aircraft Maintenance Officer Course in USA. I obtained competencies in the AN32B and C 130 aircraft and I was able to became an aircrew member on AN32B and C 130 aircraft as a flight engineer. During my tenure here, I also underwent Aircraft Maintenance Special Course at Advanced and Specialized Trade Training School- Katunayake, the Junior Commanders Course, at the Junior Command and Staff College, SLAF Base China Bay and Defence Service Command and Staff Course at the Defence Service Command and Staff College- Sapugaskanda. I was again posted to No 2 squadron at Sri Lanka Air force Base Katunayake as an engineering officer. I again completed my refamiliarization training as a C130 flight engineer and under gone C-130 Flight Simulator Training Course in Indonesia in 2009, in year 2012 C-130 Simulator Refresher Training Course in Indonesia, C-130 Simulator Training Course in year 2013 in Pakistan and in 2014 C-130 Simulator Training Course in Pakistan. During my service career I has contributed immensely towards the cause of the Sri Lanka Air Force by performing duties as a qualified engineering officer as well as a qualified AN32B and C130 flight engineer. I held the appointments of QAO and OC AR&SS in Aircraft Engineering Wing at Sri Lanka Air Force Base Katunayake and Staff Officer Training III in SLAF Hq. Presently I am the Officer Commanding Maintenance in No.08 squadron, Ratmalana.
