About Me
Dedicated Aircraft Engineer with excellent technical, analytical, communication and instructional skills demonstrated by more than sixteen years of experience working with Bell Helicopters and components in the Aviation field. An experienced lecturer presently serving in the Department of Aeronautical Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering at the Sir John Kotelawala Defence University, Sri Lanka with a background in lecturing technical subjects for undergraduate Cadet Officers following B.Sc. in Aviation Studies at Sri Lanka Air Force Academy China Bay (Affiliated to General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University, SL) and students following B 1.1 Turbine Aircraft Maintenance Engineers License Course at Helitours Technical Training Centre (HTTC, SL). Passed Technical Staff Course from MILIT, Pune India. Carried out successful researches for the fulfillment of Masters in Military Technology, Post Graduate Diploma in Defence Management and Bachelors in Aeronautical Engineering. Also a research author for the Colombo Air Symposium on multiple occasions. Served as Directing Staff at Junior Command and Staff College, the Chief Instructor at Technical Training School in Sri Lanka Air Force and has gained experience in lecturing and Research Methodology. Trained QA Inspector with specialization in ISO 9001:2015 and AS9001C. A Non Destructive Testing Level 2 (LPI, MPI, UT) Supervisor accredited from Atomic Energy Authority and National Centre for Non Destructive Testing in Sri Lanka. Completed many successful local and overseas training programs in engineering and management. Nominated and selected for Aircraft Maintenance Technology Magazine’s ‘Next Gen’ awards while serving as an aircraft maintenance engineer in Aircraft Engineering Wing of Sri Lanka Air Force and nominated and selected for World Scholar Athlete Games in USA while schooling. Experienced in Offshore Operations with Navy and CASEVAC missions with Army. Possesses the ability of meeting organizational goals using professional skills, experience and sheer dedication and determination.
