About Me
General: Commissioned Officer and an Electronic Engineer of the Sri Lanka Army since 03 November 1990. After receiving the basic military training, I was posted as a communication officer of Sri Lanka Signals Corps and served within various formations of the Army. Initially, I served under a Brigadier who was in command of nearly 2000 soldiers in the battle. Subsequently, I was posted as Signals Adviser to a General who was in command nearly 6,000/20,000 soldiers in a Division/Security Force Headquarters respectively and have served for about 20 years. Thereafter, I have held many operational, administrative and instructor appointments and received experience in the field of Human Resources Management, Combat Equipment Management in which I could utilize my expertise mainly in the fields of communication and electronic equipment, introduction and development of modern systems/ procedures for complex situations within the Army. Professionalism: I do always maintain pride and interest in work and need to be effective in achieving the organizational goals successfully. I have obtained very high professional competence on advance technical applications and keen in developing knowledge on the innovations. Very conscientious and capable of achieving the given task efficiently and confident in completing them well within the given deadlines. Self-motivated and result-oriented in functioning quite professionally rather than persuading for personal gains. Hence, have received several commendation letters from Military and Civilian leaderships and managements of the several institutions. Demonstrate persistence when facing difficulties, problems, or challenges. Remain calm during stressful situations well keeping with the temperament that has been mastered as the most advantageous skills developed throughout the military carrier. Possessed with strong analytical and problem-solving skills while having a proficiency in developing and implementation of new systems to reduce the cost and improve the quality of the product/service. Technological Awareness: Keep abreast of available technology; understands applicability and limitation of technology while taking challenges to improve the efficiency and quality of the organization and work; exhibit willingness to learn new technology. Further, have written several articles on the subjects of modern technology and cyber security. In possession with significant exposure from USA and India to modernize the available hardware and software requirement. Leadership: Willing to serve as a role model and empower others to interpret vision into results. Have received a special commendation from Force Commander of the United Nation Mission in Haiti for displaying my special skills of taking proactive actions in developing strategies to accomplish the given objectives. Prepared to establish and maintain relationships with a broad range of people to improve the efficiency and quality of work. Effective in anticipating and resolving conflicts by pursuing through mutually agreeable solutions. Takes leadership and responsibility for incorporating gender perspectives and ensuring the equal participation of women and men in all areas of work; demonstrates knowledge of strategies and commitment to the goal of gender balance in staffing. Posted as the deputy to the Army Directorate of Planning due to having appropriate leadership qualities and taking responsibilities to produce results along the established strategy; moreover, always prepared to work beyond the call off duty.

Career Achivements
- Supervisor for more than 100 research projects for the undergraduates of the BSc in Military studies degree program from 2005 to 2013 and for the students who followed the Masters of Defence Studies degree in the Defence Services Command and Staff Collage since 2019.
- Lecturer in General Sciences for the B.Sc. in Military studies degree program from 2005 to 2103.
- Visiting lecturer in Basic Electronics, Electrical and Communication System for the young officers of the Sri Lanka Army Signal Corps and officer courses of other arms conducted at the Signal Training School, Kandy since 1999.
- Visiting Lecturer in Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka (SUSL) for Critical Thinking and Scientific Thinking for almost all the disciplines in all the faculties from 2006 to 2013
