• Trainee Technical Officer at Access Engineering PLC (20 Aug 2013 to 30 September 2014) - I had my final year of industrial training in this company as a part of my undergraduate degree programme. I performed Outside Plant Engineering duties in the training. After completing the training, they offered me the job considering the performance. I have worked under three major outside plant telecommunication projects Dialog Optical Fiber Network Project, Dialog Metro sprouts project and Sri Lanka Telecom New Connection Project. As a trainee, I have engaged with the overhead and underground cabling, Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD), fiber splicing, copper cable jointing and the all the works related to wired communication.
• Assistant Engineer at Luminex (PVT) Ltd (01 Oct 2014 to 20 June 2015) - I worked as the Assistant Engineer for “Dialog Axiata PLC Optical Fiber Sprouts Connectivity Project”, besides my normal duties as Project Engineer. That project was carried out to establish the new site to cater to growing bandwidth demand in Metro Areas. I have completed 18 site connectivity’s in the central ring, including the Wariyapola-Puttalama backbone project. I designed the overall project plan based on the project scope and built the network and managed resources for Optical fiber backbone, sprouts and customer connectivity to cater Site, Enterprise, Other Operator and FTTx connectivity.
• Officer Commanding Maintenance (OCM) at No 05 ADRS, ADC&CC - All the maintenance and engineering-related matters were carried out under the supervision of OCM. I have experience with Indra MK II and JY 11 Radar Systems.I have supervised and coordinated all the radar technicians in the tasks of radar installation, operation, training, maintenance, repairing of radar system. Assists the Commanding Officer (CO) in coordination and future planning in support of exercises and operations coordinate the execution of current operations and provide garrison support to operations in support of resident and deployed detachments.
