I, Commander (L) Malawara Kankanamalage Kavinda Charith Premarathna, presently employed in the Electrical Engineering Branch of the Sri Lanka Navy. I studied at Nalanda College, Colombo 10 and successfully completed the General Certificate Examination (Ordinary Level) in 1999 and the General Certificate Examination (Advanced Level) in 2002 in the Physical Science (Mathematics) stream. Successively, I joined the Sri Lanka Navy as an Officer Cadet in the Engineering branch in the year 2002. After initial training at Naval and Maritime Academy, Trincomalee, which is the premier training organization of SLN, I joined the Indian Navy’s premier engineering education institution, Naval College of Engineering, at Indian Naval Ship Shivaji in Lonavla, India to continue my basic engineering education, and the college is affiliated to Sri Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India. I graduated in the field of Electrical Engineering in 2005 and obtained a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electrical Engineering from Sri Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India. After graduating from India, I have served in the capacity of an electrical engineer for approximately 20 years.
