About Me
I have joined the Regular Force of Sri Lanka Navy as Intake 29 Cadet Officer and completed basic training at Naval and Maritime Academy- Trincomalee. I graduated from Naval College of Engineering, Indian Naval Ship Shivaji, Lonavla accreted Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi as an Engineering candidate and working as an Engineer Officer in Sri Lanka Navy for 25 years in the fields of Maintenance of Marine & Mechanical Machinery/Equipment, Hydraulic & Pneumatic, Controls, Occupational Health & Safety, Ergonomics, Procurement of Machinery/Tools/Spares/Materials, Warehouse handling, Technical Evaluations, Board of Studies/Surveys, Quality control, TPM, TQM, Process improvements, Risk Management, Corporate Administration, Finance & Budgeting, Planning and Implementation, Organizational Development, Forecasting of maintenance and Ordering of spares/material, Decision Making, Human Resource Management, handling of ERP, Training Activities in Theories & Practical. Further to above, I gained the knowledge on new technologies such as Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, PLC, CNC, and Marketing, Financial & Managerial Accounts, Operational Management, Statistics, Supply Chain Management, Lean Production and Six Sigma. I am still serving as a Senior Engineer and as a manager in the rank of Commander in Engineering branch of Sri Lanka Navy.
