• A professionally trained and highly skilled Marine Engineer with more than 15 years of broad-ranging hands-on experience in the fields of Mechanical and Marine Engineering. • Engaged with mechanical/marine system/equipment maintenance and repairs of a wide variety of oceangoing vessels in Sri Lanka Navy, ranging small fighter craft, passenger ferry to large offshore patrol vessels under the standard operating procedures and standard operating guidelines. In-depth knowledge of the full range of shipboard marine engineering and mechanical systems, including main engines, generator, propulsion systems, pumps and other auxiliary systems, as well as deck fittings. • Hand full experience and knowledge on onboard firefighting, damage control and CBRN defense including operating and maintaining of relevant systems and implementing and evaluating of safety procedures.

• Breakdown repairs, routine maintenance (PPM) and overhauling of diesel engines (MTU 16V 396 series, Deutz TBD 620 series, Yanmar 6LY2ASTP, Cummins 6BTA 5.9 series, Pielstic, V 16 ALCO, MAN, Caterpillar).
• Repairs and maintenance of generator prime movers (Cummins, Kirloskar, Caterpillar, GM, Lister Petter. Perkins) Pumps, Compressors, Purifiers, Treatment Plants and other auxiliary machineries.
• Complete docking/refit repairs of AOPVs (Advanced Offshore Patrol Vessel), OPVs, FMVs (Fast Missile Vessel), FAC (Fast Attack Craft), Passenger Ferries and Inshore Patrol Craft.
• Repairs, maintenance and overhauling of Waterjet systems (Hamilton, Kamewa, Lips, MJP, Castoldi) and its Electro-hydraulic control systems.
• Repairs and maintenance of Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, Hydraulic Power and other marine auxiliary systems.
• Demanding, forecasting and Inventory management of spare parts.

• Ship's fire fighting and damage control.
