I Eng(Captain-SLN)Monika Anjani Wahalathantri who joined as officer cadet of 17th Intake of prestigious academy at that time on Sir John Kotelawala Defense Academy(KDA).I was joined just after schooling at Devi Balika to KDU based on my Advanced level examination results and satisfied interviews at that era.My childhood ambition was originated in childhood at Construction of Kalutara Bridge who wear yellow helmets in still mind when father accompanied both myself and elder sister to participate Russian exhibition at BMICH.Though I selected for study Physical Science at Ruhuna University I prefer to join KDU with achieving my childhood ambition.When I daily traveling to Devi Balika from Payagala to Colombo I also mind to go University of Moratuwa.I accessed my dream true when I joined KDU and satisfied with achieved career progression being a military women engineer. I have contributed my youth to nation in pass decades in many folds specially construction projects at many naval commands effectively.I have held key appointments in naval environment and performed instructor duties as Officer In charge of Civil Engineering School at Naval & Maritime Academy Trincomalee.
