SUCCESSFUL CPD EVENT ORGANIZED BY ELECTRONIC, TELECOMMUNICATIONS, IT AND CYBER SECURITY SECTIONAL COMMITTEE OF SL ARMY

The Continuous Professional Development (CPD) event organized by the Electronic, Telecommunications, IT, and Cyber Security Sectional Committee was held successfully on 29 July 2024 at the Sri Lanka Signals Corps (SLSC) Regimental Center Premises.
The highlight of the event was an enlightening lecture by Mr. Farash Samat, Head of Information Security at Dialog Axiata PLC. His presentation on "Incorporating Cyber Threat Intelligence to Enhance Risk Mitigation Strategies" captivated the audience, offering deep insights into the evolving landscape of cyber threats and the importance of integrating threat intelligence into organizational risk management frameworks.
Mr. Samat emphasized the critical need for proactive measures in cybersecurity, detailing various strategies for identifying, analyzing, and mitigating potential threats before they can impact operations. His expertise and practical approach provided attendees with valuable tools and methodologies to bolster their own cybersecurity practices.
The CPD event was well-attended by CMTSL members from the Army, Navy and Air Force, all keen to enhance their knowledge and skills in the ever-important field of cyber security.
