CPD PROGRAMME AND ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING OF COLLEGE OF MILITARY ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY
A CPD programme was conducted on 09 April 2025 followed by the 3rd Annual General Meeting of the College of Military Engineering and Technology Sri Lanka (CMETSL) at the Auditorium of Kotalawala Defence University with the participation of CMETSL members from tri-forces.
The CPD programme on "Data Centre Operations and Modern Security Technologies" was conducted by the Officers from Sri Lanka Navy in view of fostering the professional growth and enhancing the skill level of the CMETSL members from tri-forces.
At the commencement of the Annual General Meeting, the outgoing president of CMETSL and Chief Signal Officer of the Sri Lanka Army, Major General Sajith Liyanage delivered the welcome address, while previous AGM Minutes and Annual Financial Report were presented by Lieutenant Colonel Buddika Hearath and Major Dulari Rodrigo respectively.
New office bearers were elected for Session 3 of the College of Military Engineering and Technology Sri Lanka during the AGM. Accordingly, the Director General Aeronautical Engineering of Sri Lanka Air Force, Air Vice Marshal Gihan Senevirathne was elevated to the position of President of CMETSL whereas Group Captain Upul Samaraweera and Group Captain Manora Wakista from Sri Lanka Air Force were elected as Secretary and Treasurer of the CMETSL respectively.
Finally, Rear Admiral Hasantha Dassanaike made the concluding remarks of the 3rd Annual General Meeting of the CMETSL.
