UPGRADATION OF NAVAL PROPULSION AND STEERING CONTROL SYSTEM (NPSC) FAST ATTACK CRAFT.
The indigenously designed Naval Propulsion and Steering Control (NPSC) project by Electrical New Design Center (ENDC) have been commenced to replace obsolete LIPS control of Fast Attack Craft with PLC based control system due to non-responsiveness of OEM and limited funds availability of SLN for OEM up gradation.
Programmable Logic Controller has been used for the project and it was successfully completed in year 2019. The project saved Rs. 90 Million per craft for the Sri Lanka Navy . Subsequently NPSC was introduced to the all relevant FAC of that particular series. Presently all system running smoothly. The total savings by introducing the indigenously designed NPSC by ENDC was Rs. 360 million.
